Heather Kellerhals Stewart, Clancy Canuck and other Canadian Cautionary Tales

Since 1845 Der Struwwelpeter by Heinrich Hoffmann has gone through hundreds of editions and and has been published in almost every European language. As a child the author read Hoffman's cautionary tales, but like children everywhere found real, everyday life with countries at war, poverty on the streets and bullying at school, more scary than any cautionary tale.
